Field lengths have been extended to the maximum length supported by QuickBooks, improvements have also been made to process to verify that data is in the correct format for QuickBooks.
- Exception file for failed transactions - Ability to output unsaved transactions to an exception file. This exception file can then be used to re-import the failed transactions.
- Set a default value in the Transaction Importer - You now have the ability to set a default value to a QuickBooks field instead of mapping to a field in import file.
- Select a record terminator - Choose from three different record terminators of Carriage Return, or Line Feed (CR/LF, CR, or LF).

New import options include; enforce price levels when importing sales transactions, map customer name to account number on customer transactions etc..
How it works
- Start the Transaction Importer and select the text file you want to import, the field delimiter (comma, tab or pipe), and the transaction type you wish to import. Press Next
- You can now see the contents of the text file you are importing into QuickBooks. This allows you to check that the correct information is going to be imported.
- Next map the text fields to the corresponding QuickBooks fields, this sets up and remembers the mapping for future transactions.
- The Data Grid view shows you the data and corresponding mappings in QuickBooks and allows you to edit any data before it is entered into QuickBooks.
- For new Items you select what type of item they are and accounts they should map to. In the final stage QuickBooks validates the data saves the setting and imports the transactions into QuickBooks.
