Before you start
You will need to have the Time Tracking preference selected in your QuickBooks company file and have successful setup and completed a synchronisation with QuickBooks. All you list data will then be available in Zed Office.
Entering Time into the Timesheet
- Login to Zed Office as with a User or a Manager.
- Select from the Time menu Enter Time
- Your weekly time sheet will open defaulting to the current week, if you need to enter time for another week use the forward and back arrows to scroll.
- You create a new entry to the time sheet by selecting options from the drop down lists and text entry boxes, click Add to add the entry to the timesheet below.
If you select Billable you must select a Customer:Job and a Service item If you have Class tracking enable you will also need to select a class with each transaction
- When you have finished entering time, click on Save. You can then come back to the timesheet later to add additional entries.
- When you are ready to submit the timesheet for approval make sure that you are satisfied with the data after you have submitted the timesheet you will no longer be able to edit entries unless they are rejected at the approval stage.
Approving or rejecting timesheets
- Login to Zed Office as a Manager or Administrator
- Select from the Manager menu Approve Time Entries
- Select the Employee name that you want to see any timesheets that are pending approval
- If there any timesheets for approval they will appear in the list below.
- Click on the Details link to review the detail of the timesheet
- Select the lines that you want to approve or reject
