You can install
Zed Axis V7 and up on a Windows Server (2008 or 2003) and make it possible for a remote user to log into the Windows Server and access the servers desktop, the installation of Zed Axis and QuickBooks and control it as if it was installed locally. This feature in Windows Server is called
Remote Desktop Services (formally known as Terminal Services), we have tested the configuration for the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), however we have not been able to get this to successfully run when using RemoteApp (.rdp). For more information about Remote Desktop Services on Windows Server we recommend that you contact your network administrator or find more information on the Microsoft web site.
Troubleshooting tips
- Install QuickBooks and Zed Axis using TS Install Mode - Axis requires some resources that are stored in the Public Documents folder which may require elevated permission to read and write.
- Provide the user with elevated permissions if you run into errors whilst running Axis in Remote Desktop Services.
