The first time you open Midi you will need to setup the connection for the Midi database.  This requires that you have installed Microsoft SQL Express, you can download a free version of this from the Microsoft website. 

1. Select the name of you database server.  If the name does not appear in the drop down list then you will need to type that in, this should take the form of <Machine Name>\MSSQLEXPRESS.  Select Windows Authentication and then the name of the database should be midi. 
2. Click Test Connection to validate you connections settings
3. Finally click Save.
